浦潇月



Pu Xiaoyue is a visual artist and writer whose work explores constructions of gender and political power within both Chinese and global contexts. Using an interdisciplinary, research-driven approach, she integrates extensive fieldwork into projects spanning photography, performance, writing, oral history, and sculpture. Her ongoing project Self-Comb Women investigates the history of a marginalized female community in China, reframing its legacy within contemporary debates on gender identity and the shifting landscape of elder care.

Pu’s creations have been featured by prominent Chinese media outlets such as YiTiao (一条), Southern People Weekly(南方人物周刊), 最人物 (Real People), Harper’s Bazaar China, New Weekly, and Sohu’s Jizhou. Internationally, her work has appeared in Fisheye (France), Tofu Collective (Denmark), Photo Vogue (Italy), as well as on domestic art platforms like Aranya Library and Jiazazhi Magazine. In recognition of her contributions, she has been selected as a TEDx speaker for 2024 in Beijing.
